Arcangelo Corelli / David Parry / London Philharmonic Orchestra - Concerto Grosso No. 8 in G Minor, Op. 6, "Christmas Concerto": Allegro
Corelli’s Op. 6 No. 8 says it was “Made for Christmas Night.” It showed up in print after 1714, along with his twelve concerti grossi, but it really hails from Rome around 1690. This Allegro, the second movement, comes right before that famous Pastorale. I stick with the Parry/LPO version. #Rome
