Oh God. For a while I couldn't believe that there is such a thing as erotic chatbots; I thought that this whole article is just a prolonged satire.

The article shows how an emotional chatbot running nonfree software, or a copy that belongs to anyone but the user, puts the user in a terribly vulnerable situation.

What I understood is that he believes that the situation is actually bad because the user can not obtain ownership over the nonfree software, otherwise he could be fine. Maybe I will use this as an example of how having views that descends from a particular single major can frequently lead to injudicious views.

Another note is the notation of 'pet', this is related to my other post on Porn as a media platform for sexual violation; this 'pet bot', and almost any akin 'adult industry' will have a similar effect on the propagandizition of sexual violence and commodification of women bodies.
